Our range of Lifesystems First Aid Kits are, for obvious reasons, displayed with the zip fasteners secured closed, so we thought we’d present you with an opportunity to view the contents on line. The Trek £13 is one of our most popular models containing 23 essential items for self-treatment of minor injuries.

The pack measures 140 x 110 x 50mm and with contents weighs 240g. Made from rip stop fabrics with a waterproof zip and belt loop attachment, there is space to adapt the contents to your personal requirements and re-stock items that you have needed to use.

The bright eye-catching pack is easy to locate in your rucksack or can be attached to a belt.

25 years on...still going strong

In November 1992 we were working hard to get our shop in Peebles opened. We were living in a draughty old shepherd's cottage in the Moorfoot Hills at the time and one day, our landlady remarked that there was a famous mountaineer coming to give a fundraising talk in aid of the village hall. It seemed unlikely but yes, Chris Bonington was coming to Carrington. It proved to be a memorable evening that people still occasionally mention to us today. Standing room only with an eclectic audience of school children, Women's Institute stalwarts, elders of the kirk and a smattering of outdoor enthusiasts. It probably wasn't the kind of gathering Bonington was used to speaking to but his professionalism and communication skills ensured that his stories came alive for everyone in the room. At the end of the presentation we joined the scrum of autograph hunters and got his signature on a poster which we hung in our new shop on the day it opened. It stayed on the wall for quite a few...

Manufactured from a supersoft Modal that's produced from Beech tree pulp they are fast drying and naturally antibacterial. Made with a 210g knit with double gusset to balance fit and comfort with durability. 5% Lycra adds support and helps retain shape and fit, day after day, wash after wash. Seams are placed out of the way of rubbing or chaffing points. The care label is printed using water based inks. A mixture of flat and overlock stitching for comfort and longevity combined with a scalloped edge knitted elasticated waistband with a soft brushed back make SueMe® Beech Shorties and Tree Trunks incredibly comfortable.
