Count down to the Tour of Britain

This weekend is the start of events in Peebles to mark the town's role in hosting the opening stage of the Tour of Britain on the 11th September.
This morning cyclists are setting out on the Tour of Tweeddale, a sportive organised by the local Peebles Cycling Club.
Tomorrow sees the public's opportunity to ride the same route as the professionals by taking part in the Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Ride.
Events next weekend begin with the Scottish Borders Exhibition Criterium, an exciting town centre race that kicks off at 5:30pm on Saturday 10th September ahead of the main event when the Tour departs on Sunday 11th September. Full details of the events on Sunday are available on the Tour of Britain website.
So what's happening at Out & About?
We hope to be out in the streets enjoying the events alongside our customers. Look out for our Tour-of-Britain-themed window display early next week together with details of the fun Competition we're running between now and the big day. Keep an eye on this blog and our facebook page for more details next week.

At the end of the presentation we joined the scrum of autograph hunters and got his signature on a poster which we hung in our new shop on the day it opened. It stayed on the wall for quite a few...
