Our Harrogate shop has just taken delivery of the new Brear Grylls Survival Series by knife specialists Gerber. Here's a first look at what's available:
Bear demonstrates the compact Fire Starter with ferrocerium rod and metal striker (price £15)Next up is the Compact Scout Knife (£20) a thin and lightweight folding knife with ½ serrated high carbon stainless steel drop point blade. It features a nail nick in blade for easy opening and a Lock Back that locks the blade securely in place and maximizes safety during closing.
Compact Scout Knife £20The Folding Sheath Knife (£40) is for people who want a serious blade, yet compact, foldable and able to fit neatly into a sheath, on a belt and out of the way. It too has a ½ serrated high carbon stainless steel drop point blade but this time it features a dual-sided thumb stud for easy single-hand opening. The ergonomic textured rubber grip maximizes comfort and reduces slippage and the Lock Back locks the blade securely in place and maximizes safety during closing. It's supplied with a nylon sheath of lightweight, military-grade, mildew resistant nylon that allows for horizontal or vertical carry.
Folding Sheath Knife £40The Ultimate Multi Tool (£50) lives up to its name with rugged construction, spring loaded pliers, external locking tools and an extra grippy handle.
